Kedaireka 2021 Matching Fund Program: BSF-Based Functional Feed
November 30, 2021. Faculty of Animal Husbandry Intensifies Cooperation with PT Biocycle Indo Through the Kedaireka 2021 Matching Fund Program: BSF-Based Functional Feed. Following up on Fapet IPB's collaborative activities with the theme BSF-BASED FUNCTIONAL FEED, several activities have been carried out, including producing feed products, students doing MBKM and lecturers' KS program with industry and the peak was the handover and launching of BSF-based products. Maggot is an alternative feed ingredient that is rich in protein and oil and can increase livestock production. The BSF-based products resulting from this collaboration include: Milk replacer, Creep feed, Shrimp feed, Energy-rich feed and Probiotics.
As a form of support from the leadership of IPB, a visitation to PT Biocycle Indo was carried out in Kampar Riau on November 30, 2021 which was attended by: Vice Chancellor for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship / Head of LKST Prof. Erika Budiarti Laconi MS, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry IPB Dr Idat Galih Permana MSc, Deputy Dean for Resources for Cooperation and Development of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Dr Sri Suharti Msi, along with the MF Kedaireka 2021 team: Prof Dewi Apri Astuti MS (Chairman) and consists of: Prof Asep Sudarman MSc, Dr Lilis Khotijah Msi, Dr Didid Diapari MS.
In this activity 22 students were involved who carried out MBKM through the implementation of Internships and Final Projects. The internship was conducted at PT BIOCYCLE INDO Kampar Pekanbaru for the breeding industry, maggot production, and processing of BSF products, as well as marketing and packaging in BSD Tangerang. MBKM The final project was carried out at Balitnak Ciawi Bogor, Loka Sei Putih Farm (Alvino Farm) in Medan.
PT Bio Cycle Indo warmly welcomes this collaboration. As a form of extraordinary appreciation, besides accepting 22 students from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of IPB for the MBKM program, continuing KS research2, following up on industrial-scale products, and there is a new graduate Fapet alumni who has been accepted as a permanent employee at PT Biocycle Indo, namely Kevin Erlangga SPt. In this case, it is hoped that KS can continue, especially in the commercialization of BSF-based products and make PT Biocycle a permanent partner of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of IPB as an internship location for PKL students of IPB.
