EPBM of Department of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology
Evaluation of the teaching and learning process has been routinely carried out by IPB University through the Teaching and Learning Process Evaluation (EPBM) system. Each student completes the EPBM filling process for each course in each semester. Completing the EPBM is mandatory for all students who have taken the courses that will be evaluated. Students directly fill out the EPBM questionnaire which is available on their respective student portals. This student portal can only be accessed by the student concerned because to be able to enter the student portal, students must enter a username and password which are personal and confidential. Filling in the EPBM is carried out at the end of each lecture in the final assessment sessions in the Odd and Even semesters. By completing the EPBM, it is hoped that students will be able to provide assessments, provide suggestions and input on educational activities that have been implemented.

PMK1 is related to whether the learning process is expected, PMK2 is related to whether the learning process is fun and inspiring, PMK3 is related to whether the assessment of the course is provided transparently, PMK4 is related to the opportunity that student get to improve their hard/soft skills, PMK5 is related to the availability of teaching document (course study plan, course material).

PDS1 is related to the lecturer presenting course material through traditional lecturing methods, PDS2 is related to the Lecturer facilitating the course material by adopting a mentorship approach, PDS3 is related to The lecturer incorporates real-life examples and illustrations relevant to the course material, PDS4 is related to The lecturer effectively utilizes the available teaching technologies (learning management system, class, and exam platforms), PDS5 is related to the accessibility of lecturer feedback
SUMMARY
In general, the EPBM score of the courses and lecturers of The Animal Nutrition and Feed Technology Study Program in Academic Year 2023/2024 is above the minimum score required by IPB University (higher than 3 scores). However, improvement can be made based on the student’s written feedback, especially in the delivery methods of the courses (PDS1). Lectures will be encouraged to adopt a more interactive approach with students, incorporate video content into their lectures, and ensure that class presentations are accessible and engaging for all students.
